American Farmer Lyrics

American farmer, we're all depending on you
American farmer, feeding the red, white and blue
American farmerNext generation, keeping our nation alive
Down on their knees, praying for rain from the sky
They're out there every morning
Planting those seeds in the ground
Riding those big wheels until the sun goes downAmerican farmer, we're all depending on you
No one works harder, feeding the red, white and blue
If there's no farm, there ain't no food
Thank God you do what you do
American farmer
So give thanks when we fill our cart
At our local store
And not take for granted
Tomorrow there'll always be more
Just take a trip down our back road
And you'll understand
You'll feel the beat from the heart of this great landAmerican farmer, we're all depending on you

American farmer, feeding the red, white and blue
If there's no farm, there ain't no food
Thank God you do what you do
American farmer, feeding the red, white and blue
With their faith and forage too
If there's no farm, there ain't no food
Thank God you do what you do
American farmer, American farmer
With their faith and forage too
American farmer
American farmer [whoa,
American farmer [whoa,
American farmer, American farmer
American farmer, [Whoa,
[Whoa,
American farmer [whoa,
American farmer

Alabama is a country music band from Fort Payne, Alabama that was started in 1969 but did not get a recording contract until 1977. Alabama began by singing for tips around Myrtle Beach before going on to sell millions of records. They were among the first successful country groups since the mid-1970s, thanks to their blend of contemporary and traditional country and southern rock. On July 4-93 they opened a $7-million, 2,200-seat theater, located in Barefoot Landing-Myrtle Beach South Carolina.

The members of Alabama are:

- Randy Owen (vocals and rhythm guitar)
- Teddy Gentry, (vocals and bass guitar)
- Jeff Cook (lead guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin)
- Mark Herndon (drums and percussion)

Along with the Oak Ridge Boys and the Statler Brothers, Alabama is recognized as having paved the way for today's top country groups, including Diamond Rio, Lonestar and Rascal Flatts.
