Among My Souvenirs Lyrics

There's nothing left for me of days that used to be
There's just a memory among my souvenirsSome letters tied in blue, a photograph or two
I see a rose from you among my souvenirsA few more tokens rest within my treasure chest
And though they do their best to give me consolationI count them all apart and as the teardrops start
I find a broken heart among my souvenirs

There are at least two artists by this name: 1. Vic Damone is an Italian American singer originally named Vito Rocco Farinola; born 12 Jun 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, USA. Perry Como visited the theater & Vic took him to his dressing room, to perform for him. Como liked the performance enough to take him under his wing & referred him to a local bandleader. Then, he took the name Damone (his Italian mother's maiden name).
