Calle Real is a high-powered ensemble that has enraptured their native city of Stockholm, Sweden with sizzling concerts of salsa and timba (a style of contemporary Cuban dance music) Founded in 1999 by a mix of Latin American expatriates and Swedish musicians, Calle Real proves that you don't have to be based in the tropics to play hot music. These Nordic salseros are one of the most accomplished European salsa bands performing today, having paid their dues studying in Cuba to master the techniques of authentic Latin dance music.
