Angel of Mercy Lyrics

Today I saw the sun
To rise to fall but can you forgive me
I sail upon this mortal storm
And hearts that cry and love is to leave meWe're miles apart
I know my aim is true
It keeps this flame from dying
I just stay aliveAngel of mercy
I know that I'll find you
So it's to my God in heaven that I pray
We can fly awayThe voice is on the wind
I steal the stars, the course I must follow
No space or time, no sleep the soul
It lies awake, it craves to be near youIt drives me on
I know my aim is true
It keeps my flame from dying
We might live againAngel of mercy
I know that I'll find you
So it's to my God in heaven that I pray

We can fly awaySailing on a sea of gold
Where silver wings of angels go
I can see a million miles
That love goes on foreverWrite a letter in the sand
That only lovers understand
And when the words are said and done
That we must come togetherSailing on a sea of gold
Where silver wings of angels go
I can see a million miles
That love goes on forever

The Bee Gees, originally made up of three brothers: Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb (died 2012), and Maurice Gibb (died 2003), have been successful for most of their 40-plus years of recording music. They had two distinct periods of exceptional success: as a pop act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and as a foremost act of the disco music era in the late 1970s. The Gibb brothers were born on the Isle of Man, UK to English parents in 1946 (Barry Alan Crompton Gibb, September 1) and 1949 ( twins Robin Hugh Gibb and Maurice (pronounced "Morris") Ernest Gibb, December 22).
