Anybody's Window Lyrics

Look through anybody's window
See everywhere the same
People suffering from hunger
A narcotizing painCall it justice, call it fair
I just call it a mistake
Starving masses cry for help
In this state of decayIn this ruthless time
And they heard the favorite pop songs
To remind of times of wisdom
They heard a thousand voices say
Satisfaction, fortune, health, so far awayLook through anybody's window
See everywhere the same
People suffering from hunger
A narcotizing painCall it justice, call it fair
I just call it a mistake
Starving masses cry for help
In this state of decayLooking people in their eyes
See the concrete bricks behind

See the false tears that they cry
Feel this sleeping guilt insidePray to heaven, pray to hell
Pray for reason, for a way
Public false asleepen eye
No longer dream of paradiseLook through anybody's window
See everywhere the same
People suffering from hunger
A narcotizing painCall it justice, call it fair
I just call it a mistake
Starving masses cry for help
In this state of decay

"Wolfsheim" (pronounced [ˈvɔlfshaɪm]) is a German band from Hamburg. Their musical style takes cues from the New Romantics, New Wave and Synthpop; the lyrics tend to be melancholic, but at the same time modernist. They were inspired by the name of a fictional character from Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby.
Formation
The band was founded in 1987 by Markus Reinhardt and Pompejo Ricciardi. Reinhardt's brother Oliver Reinhardt joined the band sometime afterward. After producing a demo tape, co-founder Ricciardi left the band and was replaced by Peter Heppner.
