Anything Goes (Mono Version) Lyrics

In olden days a glimpse of stocking
Was looked on as something shocking
Now heaven knows, anything goesGood authors too
Who once knew better words
Now only use four letter words
Writing prose, anything goesThe world has gone mad today
And good's bad today
And black's white today
And day's night todayWhen most guys today
That women prize today
Are just silly gigolosSo, though I'm not a great romancer
I know that you're bound to answer
When I propose, anything goes, anything goes
Anything goes, anything goes
Anything goes, anything goesJust think of those shocks you've got
And those knocks you've got
And those blues you've gotFrom that news you've got
And those pains you've got

If any brains you've got
From those little radiosSo, though I'm not a great romancer
I know that you're bound to answer
When I propose
(When I propose)
Anything goes, anything goes, anything goes

Harpers Bizarre was an American pop-rock band of the 1960s, best known for their Broadway/choirboy sound and their remake of Simon & Garfunkel's "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)."
Career Harpers Bizarre was formed out of The Tikis, a Californian band who enjoyed some local success with Beatle-like songs in the mid 1960s. In 1967, record producer Lenny Waronker got a hold of the Simon & Garfunkel song "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)," determined to make it into a single.
