Apart Lyrics

You took the power out of both my hands
I watched it melt away like a grid of sand
Ain't no feeling greater then the way we were
Wish we could go right back to the way we was
Like a warrior without a sword
Like I'm on a battlefield with no reward
Through the dark of dawn will come the light of day
Girl you swear that's why your never changeAnd we went
Far as we could, far as we could go
And we climbed
Higher, we held tight as we could hold
But who let go?You let go
Thought I was the one that owned your heart
So how did we just fall so far apart?
I was here for you
I promise to be there for you
I promise
You knew that I was here for you

I was here for you
I Thought I was the one that owned your heart
Like a Movie without a sore
I'm so empty
Feel like I'm on a ship but there's no shore
I'm lost
Now of course I thought that we would always be
Yeah But you turned around and you showed me
Ahhh... showed me, showed me
When I played a game with you I'd loose
I Can't seem to find away
Cause you have your own way by switching up rules
I'm so confused now
I'm just thinking back on the way we were
So happy, happy
We were so close to making it work.... oohhh
And we went
Far as we could, far as we could go
And we climbed
Higher, we held tight as we could hold
But who let go?
You let it go
You let go
You let goThought I was the one that owned your heart
So how did we just full so far apart? We had it all, we had it all yes we did
I Thought I was the one that owned your heart
