Are You My Love Lyrics

Are you my love
Are you my love
Are you the one that I've been thinking of
Are you my loveI've been holding the door
I've been holding the door
Are you the one that I've been waiting for
I've been holding the doorThe telephone rung
Sounds like a hurricane
How my lips stung
When they said your name
Tell me baby trueDo you have the key
Do you have the key
To take me to your house of harmony
Do you have the keyIs it in the stars
Is it in the stars
Do we have the blessing of Venus and Mars
Is it in the starsLightning struck
Electricity rained

How my lips stung
From whispering your name
Tell me baby trueBorn in September
You know I got it bad
Try to remember
The next time I make you sad
I'd walk for miles
For one suggestion
But over timeI developed questionsAre you my love
Are you my love
Are you the one that I've been thinking of
Are you my loveAre you my love
Are you my love
Are you the one that I've been dreaming of
Are you my loveI've been holding the door
I've been holding the door
Are you the one that I've been waiting for
Cause I've been holding the doorAre you my love
Are you my love
Are you the one that I've been dreaming of
Are you my love

Multi-instrumentalist Kelley Stoltz grew up in the Detroit area, but eventually found his way to San Francisco after taking a detour to New York City, where he worked in the mailroom at Jeff Buckley's management company. Armed with a four-track recorder and tons of great ideas, Stoltz began recording his own songs, performing all the parts himself. These songs caught the ear of Monte Vallier, who helped Stoltz clean up and sweeten the recordings for release as The Past Was Faster on The Telegraph Company.
