As Good As New Lyrics

I'll never know why I had to go
Why I had to put up such a lousy, rotten show
Boy, I was smooth, packin' all my stuff
Sayin' I don't need you anymore, I've had enough
And now, look at me standing here again 'cause I found out that
Ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma
Ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma
My life is here
Gotta have you nearAs good as new, my love for you
And keepin' it that way is my intention
As good as new and growin' too
Yes, I think it's takin' on a new dimension
It's as good as new, my love for you
Just like it used to be and even better
As good as new, thank God it's true
Darling, we were always meant to stay togetherI feel like a creep, never felt so cheap
Never had a notion that my love could be so deep
How could I make such a dumb mistake?

Now I know I'm not entitled to another break
But please, baby, I beg you to forgive 'cause I found out that
Ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma
Ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma
My life is here
Gotta have you nearAs good as new, my love for you
And keepin' it that way is my intention
As good as new and growin' too
Yes, I think it's takin' on a new dimension
It's as good as new, my love for you
(Good as new)
Just like it used to be and even better
As good as new, thank God it's true
(Good as new)
Darling, we were always meant to stay togetherI thought that our love was at an end but here I am againAs good as new, my love for you
And keeping it that way is my intention
As good as new and growing too
Yes, I think it's taking on a new dimension
It's as good as new, my love for you
(Good as new)
Just like it used to be and even better
As good as new, thank God it's true
(Good as new)
Darling, we were always meant to stay togetherYes the love I have for you feels as good as new
Darling, we were always meant to stay together

ABBA was a pop music group formed in Stockholm, Sweden in November 1970. The band consisted of Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida), Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Agnetha Fältskog. (See also Björn Ulvaeus & Benny Andersson, as well as Benny's previous band Hep Stars.)

They topped the charts worldwide from 1972 to 1982 with eight studio albums, achieving twenty-six #1 singles and numerous awards. They also won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo.

A jukebox musical based on the music of ABBA titled Mamma Mia! opened in London's West End in 1999 and has since become one of the most popular musicals in the world. In 2008, a movie version was made with Meryl Streep among the cast.

The recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2010 Induction Ceremony, held on March 15 in New York, recognized the huge contribution of ABBA. Represented by Anni-Frid Lyngstad "Frida" and former husband/band member Benny Andersson, it was perhaps the crowning acknowledgment of the phenomenal success of Sweden's most famous four.
