At a Loss (feat. Malik Moore & Black Shakespeare) Lyrics

V1-
Is there hope for the hopeless?
Penny for your thoughts, a home for the homeless? (Higher Costs)
And they made you a promise...
Work every day and you get what you wanted (At A Loss)
Heavy weight on your conscience
Put it on a credit, borrow in, get your interest (Higher Costs)
Make it a sin to be honest,
Your pockets well thin,
where your wins gets your losses?? (At A Loss)Pre-Chorus -
You can't save it away (Wha ya want?)
You can't take it to your grave (Wha ya want?)
Still them want you work like a slave,
tryin' to save up for rainy dayCHORUS -

You at a loss
Higher cost
You at a lossV2-

You in debt, death and taxes
Follow you to your grave,
put a lean against your casket (Higher Costs)
When you slide in your plastic
They'll charge you a fee for the money that you access (At A Loss)
'Dem a starve out the masses
Pickney can't eat so we'll......the baskets (Higher Costs)
Drop a dollar in the basket
In God you trust that the stock market crashesPre-Chorus2 -
You can't save it away (Wha ya want?)

There are several artists with this name: 1) The Lions. Hailing from the same neighborhood in Dundee, Scotland, Darren and Chris, 10 years later, would meet half the world away, to create, The Lions. In 2008 The Lions released there first LP Sounds Familiar. It was recorded in under 15 hours, mixed and mastered in less than a week. The band proudly wear there influences on there sleeves. Without reinventing the wheel or pretending to say they sound original, The Lions attempt to capture the riffs of Jimi Hendrix on a 7-string Ibanez and recite the melodies of The Beatles.
