Atlantis A.d. Lyrics

Alright
So if you got ‘em, light ‘em up
Open your mind
Let’s go to war
Today's the day, the time is here
We take back control and conquer our fears
For as it was written, my friend, so shall it be
I ride with the Most High, who can stand against me?
Ride with me and advance towards the light
In the darkness, I break it down
Slowly roll up and spark this, in this moment on this track
I attack all the lies, we accept it as truth
We were duped by the schoolbooks and teachers
The blind leading the blind through the Garden of Eden
But time after time we had the prophets to lead us
But line after line was written down to deceive us
But they will never defeat us
Until the end of time

I will rebel in the face of all tyrants
The fire burns on high
As above so below, now be careful
Until the end of time
We will fight for the rights of our children
The fire burns inside
My curiosity leads me to Zion
Wake the fuck up
So if you got ‘em, light ‘em up, warriors
Come out and play
Listen, in the year 2007 AD
The working man got so tired of waiting
Not all those who have eyes will see what I'm saying
Not all those who have ears will hear a note that we playing
Homie, you know me, I don’t fuck with no phonies
All these cronies in this industry can all kneel down and blow me
I came to do battle with the counsel of churches
Politicians and gunmen who would lie, rob, and hurt us
Keep us deaf, blind, and dumb so we can’t find our guns
Asleep when the storm troopers come for our moms
So run, nigga, run ‘til you can’t catch your breath
It's too late ‘coz you already dead
But you wide awake, you already dead
But you wide awake, you already dead
But you wide awake, you already dead
You're in a fucking coma
Until the end of time
I will rebel in the face of all tyrants
The fire burns on high
As above, so below, now be careful
Until the end of time
We will fight for the rights of our children
The fire burns inside
My curiosity leads me to Zion
Listen carefully, I don’t have much time left
There are so many things I wanna tell you
For we have to be careful
I think I'm being watched
Galileo was imprisoned by the church for exposing
That the Earth was not at the center of the universe
So in 1616, they already had control
Of what they thought you and I were allowed to know
They knew the world wasn’t flat
But that was knowledge we weren't supposed to have
They knew all about the new world
Way before Christopher Columbus set sail
Witness the rebirth of Atlantis
And we're all apart of it
What a beautiful fucking time to be alive, ah?
You know I'm not surprised
The Illuminati had to keep it a secret
I'm surrounded by fucking idiots
Jesus fucking, fucking Christ
Until the end of time
The fire burns on high
Until the end of time
The fire burns inside
My curiosity leads me to Zion
Wake the fuck up
So if you got ‘em, light ‘em up, warriors
So if you got ‘em, light ‘em up, warriors

Hed P.E., previously known as (hed) Planet Earth and stylized as (həd) p.e. is a rapcore band from Huntington Beach, California. Formed in 1994, the band performs a style of music which they refer to as "G-punk". Their music is primarily based in a fusion of punk rock and hip hop, but they have also been known to incorporate elements of heavy metal, reggae and other genres. After releasing three albums on Jive Records, Hed PE left the label to record independently, eventually signing with Suburban Noize Records in 2006. To date, they have released seven studio albums, one live album and one compilation album.

The band was formed by rapper Jared Gomes, also known as "M.C.U.D." (MC Underdog), and guitarist Wes Geer, who became friends amidst the Orange County hardcore punk scene. Gomes and Geer recruited guitarist Chizad, bassist Mawk, drummer B.C. Vaught and DJ Product © 1969. They named the group "Hed", which stands for "higher thought". The band built a following with their energetic performances at local venues, and released the self-financed extended play, Church of Realities. Legal issues forced Hed to change their name, adding "PE", which stood for "Planet Earth".

Hed PE signed with Jive Records, releasing their self-titled debut album in 1997. In his review of the album, Allmusic's Steve Huey wrote that Hed PE "[are] rhythmically looser and funkier than many similar rap-metal bands, although comparisons to Rage Against the Machine are still apt. There are some slow and/or unfocused moments but overall, its aggression will probably play well with late-'90s metal and punk fans. "Due to the label's contractual terms and the disappointing sales of the album, the band found themselves unable to repay the cash advances given to them by Jive. Gomes is quoted as saying "We had these romantic visions of the music industry, and we thought it would be cool to be a punk band on a rap label. So we fulfilled that dream, but it was also probably the worst thing that could have happened. We've had offers from Sony and others that we can't take because we owe Jive so much money."
