August Winterman Lyrics

And if I could teach the world to be
I'd teach them all to be something just like me
Frustrated, bitter, depressingPerfect, as if my wings were like yours
Perfect, but I'm falling downAnd if you could hold your tongue long enough
You'd see that all I am is love but I don't like me
I despise mePerfect, as if my wings were like yours
Perfect, but I'm falling downPerfect, as if my wings were like yours
Perfect, but I'm falling downIt's a disease they'll never have a cure for
You're the only way to dry my eyes
It's a disease, they'll never have a cure
But I'm the one who's wrong, I'm the one who criesIt's a disease, they'll never have a cure for
It's a disease, they'll never have a cure
But I'm the one who's wrong, I'm the one who criesI cry, I despise me
I cry, I despise me
I cry, I despise me
I cry, I despise me

Dead Poetic was a rock band hailing from Dayton, Ohio. The band first garnered attention in the underground music scene following the release of their first full-length Four Wall Blackmail which was released by Tooth & Nail subsidiary Solid State Records, and single "August Winterman." In the fall of 2004 personal disagreements within the band caused bassist Chad Shellabarger, drummer Josh Shellabarger, and guitarist Todd Osborn to all depart the band, and Dead Poetic appeared to be a thing of the past.
