Baby Lee (With Robert Cray) Lyrics

Baby Lee, don't do me like you do
Baby Lee, don't do me like you do
I love you, baby; you never treat me rightTakin' you downtown, you carried me through the mill
Takin' you downtown, baby, you carried me through the mill
Now you wanna treat me, and treat me like a childBaby Lee, please, don't do me wrong
Baby Lee, please, don't do me wrong
I love you, gal; I just can't stand your wayBaby Lee, you know you ain't treat me right
Baby Lee, you know you ain't treat me right
You take all my money, wanna treat me like a child

John Lee Hooker (Coahoma County, Mississippi, August 22, 1917 – Los Altos, California, June 21, 2001) was a highly influential American blues singer, guitarist and songwriter. John Lee Hooker could be said to embody his own unique genre of the blues, often incorporating the boogie-woogie piano style and a driving rhythm into his masterful and idiosyncratic blues guitar and singing. His best known songs include "Boogie Chillen" (1948) and "Boom Boom" (1962).
