Back Down Lyrics

I like my man rough
I like my man tough
But he's gotta be smooth
When he's giving my love
I like my man clean
Like the cut of his jeans
It's like the Lord made
Tailored man for me
He's gotta smell good
Treat me like a man should
Keep his hair trimmed low
He's a friend of my soul
He keeps me secure
Makes me feel safe
And if you ever dare touch me
He'd have to put you in your place
'Cause my baby don't back down
My baby don't back down

‘Cause he's alright
Because he's alright
My baby don't back down
No, he never back down
'Cause he's alright
Because he's alright
I like my man sexy
I like my man made
He knows what I want
He’s the ying to my yang
I like my man patient
And his body real tight
And never keeps me waiting
That's just what I like
See these boys are no good
'Cause I need a real man
Someone who can keep me
In the palm of his hand
He's gotta treat me right
Never do me wrong
Better know how to please me
And turn me on
I know I never back down
My baby never back down
'Cause he's alright
Because he's alright
No, my baby don't back down
My baby don't back down
'Cause he's alright
Because he's alright
I like my man cool
Much cooler than ice
And if I did meet him
I wouldn't have to blink twice
He gives me kisses by the hour
When he brings me flowers
It never felt so sweet
When he's around me
He’s gotta lot, he’s gotta lot
He’s gotta lotta love
He makes me smile
He has to make me laugh
He never moves too slow
But doesn't move too fast
He's the love of my life
He's all that I need
When he's with his friends
He's proud about me
'Cause my baby never back down
No, my baby don't back down
Because he's alright
Yeah, he's alright
No, my baby don't back down
My baby don't back down
Because he's alright
Because he's alright, oh yeah
Break it down, break it down
Break it down now
Break it down, break it down
Break it down now
Break it down, break it down
Break it down now
Break it down, break it down
Break it down now
Break it down, break it down
Break it down now
Break it down, break it down
Break it down now
Break it down, break it down
Break it down now
Break it down, break it down
Break it down now

There are at least 2 artists by the name of J-Dub. One is a DJ representing Chicago, IL. Another is a podcaster from Pittsburgh, PA.

For nearly a decade, J-Dub has been traveling North America and Europe laying down his own unique brand of new-school house with a hypnotic, versatile and irresistible sound that both dance floor massives and hardcore heads can vibe to. With a combination of seamless cut and paste blends, eclectic programming, funky, elegant bass lines, deeply soulful vocals, and relentless percussion, this Chicago bred house sensei shuns convention opting instead to forge a highly personal style based on the great Windy City house tradition of crossing boundaries and breaking rules. His highly developed deep jacking technique, developed in the fires of Chicago’s heated DJ scene, has opened the doors to many residencies at top venues across North America including Shelter (Chicago), Crobar (Chicago), Red Dog (Chicago), Common Thread @ Sonar (Vancouver), 360 (Los Angeles), Sorted @ Smart Bar (Chicago), Material @ Rednofive (Chicago), and, most recently, Hush/Underbar (Toronto).
J-Dub has established a reputation as a versatile showstopper with an infectious energy and verve that inspires and invigorates long after his sets are over. In 2000, he toured North America with house legend Mark Farina on his San Francisco Sessions tour. This led to his becoming a frequent guest at the top house venues across North America and Europe over the years including Industry (Toronto), Crobar (Miami), The End (London), Folies Pigalle (Paris), Transit (Philadelphia), and Melodic (Los Angeles). He’s also played shows with some of the top talents in the industry including Moby, Fat Boy Slim, Derrick Carter, Josh Wink, King Britt, Francois Kevorkian, and Derrick May to name a few. It was at Industry that he became a key figure in the Canadian house scene, with his performances at DJ Sneak’s Solid monthly. Since those days in the late 90s, J-Dub has toured Canada from coast to coast and become a regular at Sneak Beats events in Chicago, Miami, London, and Toronto.
Trained as a filmmaker and in the theatre, J-Dub mixes genres, eras, and new school/old school methods without diluting the essence of his style. As the lead vocalist of Greenskeepers, J-Dub has dived headfirst into an entirely new arena to showcase his writing and performance talents. His first release, “On The Line”, featured remixes from house production luminaries Kaskade, J.T. Donaldson, Mark Farina, and Pete Moss. Relocating to London in 2005, he began to hone his writing and branch out into other genres outside of house. He also became one of Ministry of Sound’s US resident DJ’s as well as a regular with the Artizan Music crew. Returning stateside in late 2007, the releases started to flow with “Buffalo Girl” originally on Drop Music and later remixed by Derrick Carter and DJ Sneak. “You Know What To Do” quickly followed also receiving the remix treatment from D.C. Rockstar Games commissioned the Greenskeepers to write a song to help launch the latest installment of the global phenomenon known as Grand Theft Auto. GTA IV blasted onto shelves in April of 2008 heralded by a non-stop media blitz accompanied by “Vagabond” a Greenskeepers featuring J-Dub dance rock monster. During the summer of 2008, J-Dub joined James Curd and L.A. indie rock/electro superstar DJ Chris Holmes in forming Science & Industry, a new dance rock band committed to making fun party rocking jams with wit and a wink. Their debut EP will be dropping on Liar Liar Records this summer. Also coming is the fourth collaboration between James Curd and J-Dub, “We Just Won’t Stop” on DFA Records engineered by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy. Later in the year, J-Dub will be featured on Justin Long’s debut solo release “Strange” on Dot Bleep Recordings. With live tour dates, DJ sets, and production releases on a wide range of labels, 2009 is shaping up to be the strongest ever for the multi-dimensional J-Dub from Chicago.
