Back Here Lyrics

Baby set me free from this misery
I can't take it no more
Since you ran away nothing's been the same
Don't know what I'm living forHere I am so alone
And there's nothing in this world I can doUntil you're back here, baby
Miss you, want you, need you so
Until you're back here, baby, yeahThere's a feeling inside
I want you to know
You are the one
And I can't let you goSo I told you lies even made you cry
Baby I was so wrong
Girl, I promise you now my love is true
This is where my heart belongs'Cause here I am so alone
And there's nothing in this world I can doUntil you're back here, baby
Miss you, want you, need you so
Until you're back here, baby, yeahThere's a feeling inside
I want you to know
You are the one

And I can't let you goAnd I wonder
Are you thinking of me 'cause I'm thinking of you
And I wonder
Are you ever coming back in my life'Cause here I am so alone
And there's nothing in this world I can doUntil you're back here, baby
Miss you, want you, need you so
Until you're back here, baby, yeahThere's a feeling inside
I want you to know
You are the one
And I can'tUntil you're back here, baby
Until you're back here, baby
Until you're back here, babyThere's a feeling inside
I want you to know
You are the one
And I can'tUntil you're back here, baby
Until you're back here, baby
Until you're back here, baby

GQ

A Bronx group that effectively mixed East Coast disco and Chicago soul covers in the late '70s and early '80s, GQ began as Sabu & the Survivors in 1968. Lead vocalist Emanuel Rahiem Leblanc, Keith Crier, Herb Lane, and Paul Service were original members, but by 1980 GQ was a trio following Service's departure. They had two Top 10 R&B and Top 20 pop hits, as well as a number one R&B single in 1979, with "Disco Nights (Rock-Freak)" also peaking at #12 pop; the single also won GQ an American Music Award.
