Back In the Game Lyrics

Just a picture taken back in '65
We were young then, it seems so long ago
Play it one time, spirit of the '70s
Live forever, lead me onOh, those crazy nights we'd spend our lives
Living in a rock 'n' roll dream
Oh, those days are gone
Time moving on make me feel that I wanna be
Back in the game againTake me where the music's playing
Where there's no tomorrow
Back in the game
High upon those summer nights
If I could be
Back in the gameVision of the past
Re-awake the heartbeat of
A generation, we thought
The years had lostOh, those crazy nights we'd spend our lives
Living in a rock 'n' roll dream
Oh, those days are gone

Time moving on make me feel that I want to be
Back in the game againTake me where the music's playing
Where there's no tomorrow
Back in the game
High upon those summer nights if
I could be
Back in the game againOh, those crazy nights we'd spend our lives
Living in a rock 'n' roll dream
Oh, those days are gone
Time moving on make me feel that I want to be
Back in the game againBack in the game again
Back in the game again
Back in the game again
Back in the game again
Back in the game again

Barclay James Harvest are an English progressive rock band. They were founded in Saddleworth, Yorkshire, United Kingdom, in September 1966 by John Lees, Les Holroyd, Stuart "Woolly" Wolstenholme (1947–2010), and Mel Pritchard (1948–2004). They are best-known for their first four albums released in quick succession from 1970-1972. The Barclay James Harvest story begins in the early sixties in the Oldham area of North-West England. John Lees and Stuart “Woolly” Wolstenholme met at Oldham Art School, and formed a band called The Sorcerers, which evolved into The Keepers.
