Back to You Lyrics

I'm gonna find my way back to you
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)I lie in bed and watch the shadows
Dancin' across the wall
Nothin' to do but think of you
And count the tears that fallOh, how I wish it was real
I wish I could feel you holding me close
The only thing I know for sure
Is I should've never let you goI would walk the world across the sea
Journey beyond the moon
I try anything, go anywhere
To find my way back to youI still don't understand the reason
I think I was just afraid
(What can I say?)
All I can do is face the truth
And deal with the mess that I madeNow all I want is the chance
To take it back and go on like this, oh
(On like this)
'Cause ever since we said goodbye

I've been lost in lonelinessI would walk the world across the sea
Journey beyond the moon
I try anything, go anywhere
To find my way back to youNow baby I was wrong, now that you're gone
The only thing left to do
Is spend every day, try every way
To find my way back to youI know that I was a fool to push you away
And if you let me back in your life
Baby, I swear all my heart and
In your arms I will stay
Yea, yeaBaby, I would walk, baby
(I would walk the world across the sea)
Journey beyond the moon
I try anything, go anywhere
To find my way back to you
(Find my back to you)Baby I was wrong, now that you're gone
(That you're gone)
The only thing left to do
Is spend every day, try every way
(Try every way)
To find my way back to you
(Find my way back to you)I would walk the world across the sea
(Back to you, back to you)
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
I try anything, go anywhere
(To find my way back to you)Baby I was wrong, now that you're gone
Is spend every day, try every way
(Wanna come back to you)Baby, I'm gonna find my way back to you
Back to you

Hill debuted the song on the CMA Awards on November 9, 2011 and it was made available for download shortly afterwards.

American Heart, the first official single from Faith Hill's seventh studio album was written by Jonathan Singleton and Jim Beavers and tells the story of a woman whom survives her struggles by her faith in the American dream.
