Back to the Beginning Lyrics

We were alive
We had sparks in our eyes
We were young
I was yours, you were mine
Touch like a fire
Every kiss was inspired
And now the memories run through our minds
All I can think of is holding you again
The way that I used to
We are too far from the end
Let's take it back to the beginning
When all we had was true love
Let's take it back to reminiscing
When all we knew was love love love love love
When all we knew was love love love love love
When all we knew was love
(Knew was, when all we knew was, when all we knew was love)
Seasons go by

All our days turned to nights
We can get back the time that we loved
I'll keep the faith if you promise to stay
And I'll find the way to your heart
All I can think of is holding you again
The way that I used to
We're too far from the end
Let's take it back to the beginning
When all we had was true love
Let's take it back to reminiscing
When all we knew was love love love love love
When all we knew was love love love love love
When all we knew was love
(All we knew was, when all we knew was, when all we knew was love)

Kalispell is the songs of Shane Leonard, who lives in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. His music is influenced by the old song forms of Appalachia, timeless American songwriters like Townes Van Zandt, and contemporary minimalist composers alike. On recordings and live performances, Shane is often accompanied by Ben Lester (AA Bondy, S. Carey), Dave Power (Adelyn Rose), and Kevin Rowe (The Barley Jacks). The Last Year EP is Kalispell's first offering, a well-rounded representation of the band's lush alt-folk sound.
