Bad Girl Lyrics

I don't believe a word they're sayin'
What they're sayin' isn't trueEverybody calls her bad girl, bad bad girl
Everybody put her down, bad bad girl
Why don't they take the time to understand?
She's looking for a love she's never foundAnd it's only 'cause she's lonely, bad bad girl
That's the way she got her name, bad bad girl
All she did was look for someone to love
And they put the girl to shameHey there she's not the girl for you
Well you don't know her like I do
Hey there listen to your friends
If you're gonna put her down
Here's where our friendship endsI don't hear a word you're saying, bad bad girl
She's the one I'm dreaming of, bad bad girl
So don't you ever call her bad girl again
'Cause she's found a boy to loveHey there open up your eyes
All I see is just a pack of lies
Hey there she's gonna break your heart
I'm not gonna listen to the rumours that you start

Bad bad girl, bad bad girlSo don't you ever call her bad girl again
'Cause she's found a boy to love, bad bad girl
Oh yes she's found a boy to love, bad bad girl
Oh yes she's found a boy to love, bad bad girl
And I'm the one that she's dreaming of, bad bad girl
Oh yes she's found the one to love, bad bad girl

Neil Sedaka (born 13 March 1939 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American pop singer, pianist, and songwriter often associated with the Brill Building era of songwriting. He teamed up with Howard Greenfield to write many major hit songs for himself and others.

Sedaka wrote his 1959 hit "Oh! Carol" about his then-girlfriend, Carol Klein, later to become Carole King. In 1963, King released a humorous answer entitled "Oh Neil".

The Laughter In the Rain Songfacts says Sedaka's hits dried up when The Beatles arrived, but then he teamed up with the lyricist Philip Cody and had a a number 1 hit with "Laughter In The Rain." It re-ignited Sedaka's career and he had 6 more Top-40 hits in America by 1977.

Sedaka's voice is in the tenor range.
