Bare My Soul Lyrics

I say these words to ring in your ears
I want these words to sing to your soul
To wrap around your eyes like a glimpse of tomorrow
Today our joy outweighs all our sorrowI will bare my soul to you
I'll do anything you ask me
I'll bare my soul to you
This is the best that I can do
I'll bare my soul to youYou think you know the man that is in me
The one your heart demands you to see
When fear has made a lie of our perfect perception
Well, the truth of love is in our redemptionOh, I will bare my soul to you
I'll do anything you ask me
I'll bare my soul to you
If this is the best that I can doI'll bare my soul to you
Reach out your hands and touch me
And when the storm blows through
Well, I will be there, I'll be there
I'll bare my soul to youOh, I say these words, they're ringing

Can you hear these words I'm singing?
I will bare my soul to you, to youI will bare my soul to you
I'll do anything you ask me
I'll bare my soul to you
This is the best that I can doI'll bare my soul to you
Just reach out your hands and touch me
But when the storm blows through
Well, I will be there, I'll be thereI'll bare my soul to you
I'll do anything you ask me
I'll bare my soul to you
This is the best that I can do

Mr. Mister was an american pop band of the 1980s. Richard Page had formerly worked as a session musician (e.g., for Quincy Jones) and had composed for Michael Jackson, Donna Summer, Kenny Loggins, Al Jarreau, and many more, when in the late 1970s, he and his childhood friend Steve George founded the band Pages (most notable song: I Do Believe in You) in Phoenix, Arizona, from which Mr. Mister was founded in 1982. The two continued to apply their tight harmonies to background vocals on albums by successful pop artists like Laura Branigan while working to break their own material.
