Barstow Blue Eyes (Live, 1971) Lyrics

Working tables on the border
Serving pie and coffee orders
Looking like she's dead on her feet
Yeah, she knows just how to jive the drivers
She waits for something finer
Friday night she's gonna be so sweetBarstow blue eyes, hanging out till sunrise
(Then I got you, babe)
Ah, last heartbreak show anywhere the bands go
(Give yourself away)
I met her on the way to Dallas
Working at the Burger Palace
Staring at the cut of my clothes
Now she said she went to Bernadino
Just to see the crazy people
Playing in the rock and roll show
Oh, she's looking so goodOh, so tired of playing this honky tonk
Leaning on the bar-room talking
Whiling away till a quarter to three

You been playing all night with me
My rock and roll has been deceiving
You're the only real reality
Barstow blue eyes, hanging out till sunrise
(Then I got you, babe)
Last heartbreak show any where the bands go
(Give yourself away)
