Beautiful Girl Lyrics

How does it feel to have time on your side
And never worry too much?
Never alone, kicking at stones
As though you're never been touchedTouched by the feeling that nothing is real
It's all an illusion
Wheels in the drive, one of the guys
With nothing to proveBeautiful girl, how in the world
Could you be suffering so?
Life's lost it's appeal
And maybe I feel a little more than you knowWhy should I care
When everyone has their share?
Perhaps, your heart's like my own
You may despair but you're never aloneLong as the shore summons the sea
To hold and to heal
We're borne on our way to bloom and decay
And this is the dealCan you feel love stopping the wheel?
Beautiful girl, simple and still
Heaven revealedWatching the water that flows in the river

I've been feeling so sad
Seems like the things that today has to give
Are not as good as I hadChanges are coming
Don't know if I'm ready
Is my head in the clouds
River keep running away from itLong as the shore summons the sea
To hold and to heal
We're borne on our way to bloom and decay
And this is the dealCan you feel love stopping the wheel?
Beautiful girl, simple and still
Heaven revealedBeautiful girl, simple and still
You're heaven revealed

Aztec Camera was a Scottish indie pop/new wave band from Glasgow. The line-up of the band changed several times over the years, but the constant member had been guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Roddy Frame. Founding members included Campbell Owens (bass) and Dave Mulholland (drums). Ex-Bluebells bassist Craig Gannon was a member from 1983 through 1985, before joining The Smiths. Guitarist Malcolm Ross (formerly of Josef K and Orange Juice) also joined in 1983, and appeared on the Knife album.
