Been There Done That Lyrics

You're gonna wail, weep, and moan, suffer to the bones
Without my love you'll just disintegrate
You won't make it without me; you'll live in misery
You're gonna miss my lovin', just you waitWhen you come crawlin' on the floor, I won't want you any more
Now it's my time to shout and celebrate
You'll suffer, wait and see; you'll never find someone like me
And now your tears are comin' much too lateBeen there, done that; I had enough
Just pack your stuff and leave
Been there, done that; why did you lie?
And now it's your turn to cryYou're gonna wail, weep, and moan, suffer to the bones
You'll never find a guy as good as me
You treated me so bad; now I'm feelin' oh-so glad
I'm gonna change that stupid lock and keyBeen there, done that; find someone else
Who'll treat you like you treated me
I never thought that revenge could be so sweet
I'll be cheerin' from a front row seatYou're gonna wail, weep, and moan, suffer to the bones

And now it's your turn to cryBeen there, done that; find someone else
Who'll treat you like you treated me
I never thought that revenge could be so sweet
I'll be cheerin' from a front row seat
I'll be cheerin' from a front row seat
I'll be cheerin' from a front row seat
Been there, done that, yeah

Neil Sedaka (born 13 March 1939 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American pop singer, pianist, and songwriter often associated with the Brill Building era of songwriting. He teamed up with Howard Greenfield to write many major hit songs for himself and others.

Sedaka wrote his 1959 hit "Oh! Carol" about his then-girlfriend, Carol Klein, later to become Carole King. In 1963, King released a humorous answer entitled "Oh Neil".

The Laughter In the Rain Songfacts says Sedaka's hits dried up when The Beatles arrived, but then he teamed up with the lyricist Philip Cody and had a a number 1 hit with "Laughter In The Rain." It re-ignited Sedaka's career and he had 6 more Top-40 hits in America by 1977.

Sedaka's voice is in the tenor range.
