Beggar's Bliss Lyrics

Woman made of paper, understand me now
This time they got you by the ears
You might be nothin' or just a footprint
They've been watchin' you for yearsIt's a strange fascination
It's a bliss
It's a beggar's blissA double dance for twenty dollars
You may be crooked but not cheap
Go ahead and make a mistake
That's what you're made of
They've been watchin' you for yearsIt's a strange fascination
It's a bliss
It's a beggar's blissIn the shadow of a candlestick your face appears
Quickly, now is the time, why are we waitin'?
Uptown, downtown I could care less
I've been watchin' you for yearsIt's a strange fascination
It's a bliss
It's a beggar's bliss

1) Luna was a dream pop/indie rock band formed in 1991 by Dean Wareham after the breakup of Galaxie 500, with Stanley Demeski formerly of The Feelies and Justin Harwood formerly of the New Zealand band The Chills. Described by Rolling Stone magazine as “the best band you’ve never heard of,” Luna blended nuanced guitar work, shading dynamics, and Wareham's wry wit. The original line-up was expanded with the addition of guitarist Sean Eden for their second album, 1994's Bewitched.
