Beginning at the End Lyrics

Sit around the table we don't talk
Just staring at the wall
How can time move this slow
Like watching flowers grow
Sit around the table on our phones
We'd rather text then talk
Not saying it's your fault
Just had to make the call
Sleeping together, but miles apart
Driving together in separate cars
Bleeding forever from different hearts
How was I supposed to know?
CHORUS:
I'm beginning at the end
You leave and I start to breathe again
Don't have to pretend it was better back then
My broken down heart will beat again
How was I supposed to know?

Welcome to the party you don't hold the door
Like you don't care no more
This time where done for sure
You're just too immature
Wait around for you so many times before
Made me feel insecure
Now I don't care no more
So I showed you the door
Sleeping together, but miles apart
Driving together in separate cars
Bleeding forever from different hearts
CHORUS:
I'm beginning at the End
You leave and I start to breathe again
Don't have to pretend it was better back then
My broken down heart will beat again
How was I supposed to know?
This is where we draw the line
We've been playing over time
How could we have been so blind
We were apart from the start
CHORUS:
I'm beginning at the end
You leave and I start to breathe again
Don't have to pretend it was better back then
My broken down heart will beat again
How was I supposed to know x 2
I, I, I'm beginning a, a at the end
I, I, I'm beginning a, a at the end
I, I, I'm beginning a, a at the end
I, I, I'm beginning a, a at the end

Samsaya (born Sampda Sharma) is a Norwegian singer and actress. As a child, she lived in India with her Sri-Lankan-Indian family; and moved to Oslo, Norway when she was 11 months old. She felt like she didn't fit in with her surroundings, and her parents weren't happy with her having Norwegian friends. Therefore, she used music - rap specifically - as an escape path, and would record her own music on tapes in her bedroom. She cites Dinah Washington's Mad About the Boy as the song that influenced her to create beat-driven tracks.
