Beliefs Lyrics

What is this whispered thief?
Is it a lie? Is it a lie?
Does fabrication begin at belief?
Who steals my years to keep all to themselves?
Is it only just the ground we stand upon?
I've asked you, yet heard no reply.
Is it only just the ground we stand upon?
Will I just soak into this earth when I die?
Have I fallen before I finished?
Who answers my questions when ears do not listen?
When silence speaks volumes.

And I have heard no reply.
This doubt that clouds what I perceive as truth.
The unnerving sense that there is nothing left.
An illogical view where purpose is gone.
Who wills these groundless conceptions?
Find faith in life.
In whatever will keep you believing that we are not meaningless.
Retain what you have learned because love is an endless wonder.
It's a never-ending knowledge, this is our only solution.
I believe in me
I believe in you
I believe that we are not meaningless .
:D

We Came As Romans is a post hardcore band formed in 2005. Hailing from Troy, Michigan, We Came As Romans are pushing the envelope, combining influences such as the intertwined singing/screaming vocals of Underoath, the theatrical, orchestra-infused metal of Chiodos, the crushing breakdowns of The Devil Wears Prada and the positive lyrics of August Burns Red on their debut Equal Vision release, To Plant a Seed. Their second album, Understanding What We've Grown to Be, released in September 2011 featured a darker tone than their previous album while still maintaining the band's overall theme of positivity and brotherhood.

Signed to Equal Vision Records (announced April 16th) after being named Alternative Press’ “Best Unsigned Band” early 2009.

Members:
Dave Stephens – Vocals
Kyle Pavone – Vocals/Synth
Joshua Moore - Guitar
Lou Cotton – Guitar
Andy Glass – Bass
Eric J. Choi – Drums
