Believe Me Lyrics

Love, I hope you won't be late
You know, how much I hate to wait
Believe, my heart is in your hands
And our life is like a songWhen you sing along, baby let it go
Believe me, believe me
I would wait forever and more
For that open door
Believe me, believe meLife, is more than we can know
Faith, is something we can show
I would love, I would lie
I would give, I would die
'Cause our life is like a songWhen you sing along, baby let it go
Believe me, believe me
I would wait forever and more
For that open door
Believe me, believe meSometimes we draw the line
And people remain where they don't belong
It so easy to say what you need

Sometimes it just goes awayWhen you sing along, baby let it go
Believe me, believe me
I would wait forever and more
For that open door
Believe me, believe meIt so easy to say what you need
[Incomprehensible] goes awayI would wait forever and more
For that open door
Believe me, believe me

1. Tonic is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1993 that has earned two Grammy nominations to date. Originally founded by Emerson Hart and Jeff Russo, later members have included Dan Lavery, Kevin Shepard, and Dan Rothchild. Signed to a recording contract in 1995, the band released their debut album Lemon Parade in 1996. The single "If You Could Only See" reached #11 on the Billboard Airplay Hot 100, and Lemon Parade itself reached platinum status.

Tonic spent much of the next two years touring, adding to its reputation as a relentlessly gigging band. In addition to extensive touring Tonic produced other work, including songs for feature film soundtracks like Scream 2 and The X-Files. After self-producing their 1999 album Sugar, they earned two Grammy nominations for their 2002 album Head on Straight. The band then went on hiatus beginning in 2004 while its members pursued solo work and other musical endeavors. Tonic became active again in late 2008, embarking on a tour and releasing a greatest hits compilation. These efforts set the stage for their self-titled fourth studio album, which was released in 2010. Tonic continues to actively tour.
