Beneath the Waves Lyrics

Here in the same boat
With danger from the falling sails
Trying to keep ourselves afloat
By laughing at the howling gales
Standing in the same shoes
Frightened by the same fears
How much more are you going to lose?
How much pain for how many tears?Fifty years before the mast
How long will it last
Before sinking
Beneath the waves
Beneath the wavesSharing the same space
Breathing in the same air
Thinking all the same thoughts
How to help and why to care
Living in the same world
A world that's full of love and lies
A world that really doesn't care

If we live or if we dieFifty years before the mast
How long will it last
Before sinking
Beneath the waves
Beneath the waves
Beneath the wavesRolling over [?] the weight of the water in my ears
Holding my breath, it's causing me pain for so many years
So many yearsBeneath the waves
Beneath the waves
Beneath the waves
