Benediction Lyrics

Oh my friends time to go did you enjoy the show?
Did you dance? Did you drink? Did you take any notes?
Are you pinned wide awake acutely aware
That your sick saddened heart is the cross that you bear?
Did the promise they broke come and rip you apart?
Open wide and just sing, cause we're damned from the startSo are you in? Are you in?Are you surely devouring what you can't outrun?
Can you change anything? Are you your father's son?
Did their cross that you bear put scars on your knees?
Have you lost faith? Are you trying to believe?
This is all of the grace here that we've been allowed
I begged you before but I'm not begging you nowSo are you in? Are you in?
Are you in? Are you in?Do your eyes twitch from staring at the screen on your phone?
Just desperate to hear that you're not alone
I know you're scared to be just one more notch on my belt
But if you kissed me the gold in my teeth might just melt
I've been huddled up here grinding tears into wine
Are you with me to help meet that dark with your shine? Are you in? Are you in?
Are you in? Are you in?

Are you in? Are you in?Are you in?It's love my friend in the end that can save us tonight
Love my friend in the end
It's love my friend in the end that can save us tonight
Love my friend in the end
It's love my friend in the end that can save us tonight
Love my friend in the endSo are you in?
Are you in?
Are you in?

A statement from the label, quoted on punknews.org, described the record's origins: "While writing the follow-up to the last Loved Ones release (2009's Distractions, Fat Wreck Chords), Hause was writing songs that didn't seem like they would fit on a Loved Ones record.
