Best of Both Worlds Lyrics

We want the best of both worlds
We want it slow and hot
We like to taste revenge, yeah
But we cant waste the shotWe want to see from both sides
We like it cool and fast
We want to get it over
We like to make it lastTwo and one
Fast and slow girl
The best of both worlds
Double fun
Well make the most, girl
To get the best of both worldsWe must obey the law
What goods a place
To stand up
Without a place to fall?Back and forth
Fast and slow yeah girl
The best of both worlds
South and north

Id like to now propose a toast
To the best of both worldsI think about the war that is no fight at all
I think about the peace that is a fight for all
The best of both worlds
Keep it onTwo and one
Fast and slow girl
The best of both worlds
Tight as a drum
Loose as a gun holster
Yeah, its getting closerWhy do we waste our breath, child
On what we like the most?
Seein' as we've wound up here
We ought to do them bothBack and forth
Fast and slow yeah girl
The best of both worlds
South and north
Id like to now propose a toast
To the best of both worldsTwo and one
Fast and slow girl
The best of both worlds
Double fun
Well make the most girl
To get the best of both worlds

Robert Allen Palmer (January 19, 1949 – September 26, 2003), born in Batley, Yorkshire, England, was a British singer. He was known for his soulful voice and the eclectic mix of musical styles on his albums, combining soul, jazz, rock, reggae, blues, and even yodeling.

His eighties hits were promoted by particularly striking award winning videos, featuring an all-female, black-clad backing band. The memorable videos, directed by Terence Donovan, featured heavily on MTV and played a large part in his transatlantic success.

His eighties success was kickstarted by his participation in supergroup The Power Station, along with Andy Taylor and John Taylor of Duran Duran and Tony Thompson of Chic.

Robert Palmer died on September 26, 2003 in Paris, France, while staying at the Warwick de berri Hotel. The cause of death was of a heart attack. He was in Paris promoting his Drive CD which had been released in May of 2003. He was joined there by his longtime friend, Jack Bruce. Robert Palmer was engaged to Geraldine Edwards at the time of his death.
