Better Luck Next Time Lyrics

Some say life is what you make it
Some say life is for the taking
As for me I'm only getting bySomewhere somebody is waiting
Somewhere someone is escaping
As for me I'm only killing time
It's your timeSometimes you set the bar too high
Well better luck next time
Looks like you took the turn too wide
Better luck next time
Another dent is in your prideSearching headlights on the ceiling
I need something more revealing
'Cause I feel stranded here in my own life
In my lifeSometimes you set the bar too high
Well better luck next time
Looks like you took the turn too wide
Better luck next time
Another dent is in your prideSometimes you set the bar too high
Well better luck next time

Sometimes you take the turn too wide
Well better luck next timeWell better luck next time
Better luck next time
Well better luck next time

Oleander is a post-grunge band from Sacramento, California. Its name is derived from the poisonous wildflower oleander. Oleander was formed by Fred Nelson Jr. (drums), Doug Eldridge (bass guitar), Ric Ivanisevich (guitar) and Thomas Flowers (vocals, guitar) in the mid-90s. Their debut was Oleander, an EP released on Fine Records in 1996, which they followed with the full-length album Shrinking the Blob in 1997. The song "Down When I'm Loaded" became a regional hit, and Oleander signed with Universal Records.
