Better Man Lyrics

Send someone to love me
I need to rest in arms
Keep me safe from harm
In pouring rainGive me endless summer
Lord I fear the cold
Feel I'm getting old
Before my timeAs my soul heals the shame
I will grow through this pain
Lord I'm doing all I can
To be a better manGo easy on my concious
'Cause it's not my fault
I know I've been taught
To take the blameRest assured my angels
Will catch my tears
Walk me out of here
I'm in painAs my soul heals the shame
I will grow through this pain
Lord I'm doing all I can

To be a better manOnce you've found that lover
You're homeward bound
Love is all around
Love is all aroundI know some have fallen
On stony ground
But love is all aroundSend someone to love me
I need to rest in arms
Keep me safe from harm
In pouring rainGive me endless summer
Lord I fear the cold
Feel I'm getting old
Before my timeAs my soul heals the shame
I will grow through this pain
Lord I'm doin' all I can
To be a better man

Robert Peter Williams (born 13 February 1974, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire) is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer. While Williams' early pop career started with the hit boy band Take That, he has found far greater success since taking his leave in 1995. Williams has sold over 70 million records worldwide, which ranks him among the best-selling music artists worldwide. He is the best-selling British solo artist in the United Kingdom and the best selling non-Latino artist in Latin America.

Six of his albums are among the top 100 biggest-selling albums in the United Kingdom. He has also been honoured with seventeen BRIT Awards—more than any other artist—and seven ECHO Awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame after being voted as the "Greatest Artist of the 1990s."

The Candy Songfacts reports that Williams teamed up with his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, to write the first single from his ninth studio album, Take The Crown. "Candy" will be released October 29, 2012.
