Between You And I Lyrics

Would you believe me
If I said I was sorry?
The question wasn't meant to hurt
It was just my fear of losing youAnd now you're filling
All the space that surrounds you
I'll soon be tucked away
Underneath your bedWhere you gave yourself to me
Where I gave myself to youMaybe it's all for the best
But I just don't see any good in this, no
Maybe we'll find something better
But the lovers that leave us
Will always hold the placeAnd maybe it was wrong of me
To think I could keep you
And maybe it's the last few drinks
Taking over my mouth and all I've been thinkingI want you to know
That I am fine here without you
But I can't bring myself
To lie to youAnd since we're being honest

I feel I should tell you
I've been filling up the empty space
Between you and IBetween you and I
She could never compare to you
Between you and I
I still keep your pictures underneath my bedWhere she gives herself to me
Where I give myself to youMaybe it's all for the best
But I just don't see any good in this, no
Maybe we'll find something better
But the lovers that leave us
Will always hold the place, yes, yeahMaybe it's all for the best
But I just don't see any good in this, no
Maybe we'll find something better
But the lovers that leave us
Will always hold the placeYeah, the lovers that leave us
Will always hold the place

Giving their brand of euphoric rock a sharper, slicker edge, Every Avenue explores themes of lust, temptation and self-acceptance on new album Bad Habits' 10 driving tracks, solidifying their place in the next breed of strong contenders in pop rock. Their third full-length sees the band lacing their infectious melodies with a glimpse of a darker side, embracing their next phase with the passion of a band truly defining their sound and making it their own.

Making their mark through hard work, the stunning vocal stylings of singer Dave Strauchman and an unfaltering belief in their brand of quality rock tunes, the Motor City five-piece has exploded from hometown shows to international success in a few short years. The band has been a staple on the rock circuit since 2004, clocking up tours with All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, Metro Station and Hey Monday, and was featured in Alternative Press' Most Anticipated Albums 2011. The band's single "Tell Me I'm A Wreck" was in high rotation on Sirius Hits 1, with several weeks appearance on the 20 on 20 chart in fall 2010, and the poignant video resonated with fans worldwide, picking up airplay on MTV2 and was named Kerrang! TV's Video Of The Week. With an entire summer of Vans Warped Tour in front of them, Every Avenue stands defiant, a stable of killer tracks under their belts, poised to take Bad Habits to new heights.
