Bicentennial Man Lyrics

I see you looking but I never see you smile
Too bad it's that way and we'll never reconcile
So this is the problem, I think it's plain to see
Just a modern woman, I'm just a modern meWell, the mind's always happy doing what they can
Well, what can you expect from a bicentennial man?
I said the mind's always happy doing what they can
Well, what can you expect from this bicentennial man?If I had a penny, two cents I'd give to you
Then I'd wanted to be there and you'd get what worth is due
If you try to test me, I think it's plain to see
You'll be a modern woman, I'll be a modern meWell, the mind's always happy doing what they can
Well, what can you expect from a bicentennial man?
I said the mind's always happy doing what they can
But what can you expect from this bicentennial man?

The Black Lips are a self-described "flower punk" band which formed in Atlanta, Georgia, United States in 2000. While still teenagers, they formed after guitarist Cole Alexander and bassist Jared Swilley left the Renegades, and guitarist Ben Eberbaugh left the Reruns. Drummer Joe Bradley joined a few months later. They released their first 7" in late 2001/early 2002 on their own Die Slaughterhaus label.
