Bitter Blue Lyrics

Well, I came out of nowhere just to see you
Now I can't find my way home, feeling so blue
I see the sign by the corner light telling me
Which way to go, but I don't knowWhen you walked up to me and told me dearly
How you'd like me to join? You said quite clearly
Did it ever occur to you that I might like to see you?
Everyday I see a different situation, I can't find much that is trueAnd you know it ain't much of a relation
Still I'm calling on youAll the time I keep feeling how it could be
Between lovers who only want to be free
Just the same, I don't feel too strong
Armed with nothing but a song for too longMaybe there will be a day
I see directionOh, bitter blue, ooh, bitter blue
I keep on calling out your name
I look outside and find the rain
If I only had an idea what to doAbout you, bitter blue
Ooh, bitter blueOh, bitter blue, ooh, bitter blue
I keep on calling out your name
I look outside and find the rain

If I only had an idea what to doAbout you, bitter blue
Ooh, bitter blue

Poco, founded in 1968 by Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Richie Furay and Jim Messina (both inducted 1997 with Buffalo Springfield), was one of the earliest in the "country rock" genre that was later commercially popularized by bands such as the Eagles. The band was completed by Rusty Young (pedal steel guitar, dobro, banjo and mandolin) Randy Meisner on bass and George Grantham on drums. Poco's 1969 debut, "Pickin' Up the Pieces" (the title being a reference to the break-up of Buffalo Springfield), received some critical acclaim but generated very litttle enthusiasm commercially.
