Bivalve Blues Lyrics

Well every day I'm here at the bottom of the ocean baby
I can't seem to get myself out
Get myself out of this ship
Oh every day I'm here at the bottom of the ocean baby
I just can't seem to get out
Get myself out of this ship
But at least it ain't too unfamiliar
With all this time passing by
Comes to know it very well
You know it's cold and it's dark sometimes
I have a dream,
I can look up and see the sun shining in the sky
You know it's cold and it's dark sometimes
I have a dream,
I can look up and see the sun shining in the skyBut I can't seem to find a way out now
And there ain't nobody here
Who can tell me why
Well there's nothing left to do

But sing a sad sad song
Sing it here at the bottom of the sea
Well there ain't nothing left to do
But sing a sad sad song
Sing it here at the bottom of the seaAnd maybe if I keep on singing
Someday, someone will hear me
Someone just as lonely as me

Paul Gilbert is well known for his highly-acclaimed technical guitar work with Racer X and Mr. Big . After he parted ways with Mr. Big in 1996, Paul pursued his career as a solo guitarist and has evolved into a successful solo artist/singer/songwriter. Gilbert composes music in a wide variety of styles including pop, rock, metal, blues, jazz, funk and classical, but is perhaps best known for his versatility and speed. His guitar work is characterised by his floating right hand contrary to the more common anchored right hand that guitarists like Pink Floyd's David Gilmour favour.
