Fall 2005, a group of stoner from the south of France (who just giggle at the back of the room as I frames?) we unclog savagely eardrums blow slats good rockin, bass thumping at will and a heat wave that was feeling damn good to hear. Name: Rescue Rangers, the subject of crime: Masters of the middle finger, an EP 4 tracks urgent and angry, which feels like big fat rock run along the Grand Canyon, under a blazing sun (in the rain Nord-Pas de Calais, the pleasure was not the same ... obviously). The concept of being the first group in the world with an expiry date clearly displayed from the beginning ... and yet. February 2007, no longer, the band reformed and began to conquer the peaks of stoner rock by posting a few months later a new EP includes 6 tracks Bring the hammer down (which we will attempt to chronicle soon we will have 5 minutes). A few weeks later, back in the studio to make as big and give birth to their first album, consisting of 10 tracks, divided into two parts (A and B) entitled Guitars and dust dancing. So inevitably, there is more than interested. Just the CD approved in early 2008, it bakes in the eating hard, we push the levers at the bottom and "Sound of the katana" echoed through the turbines. At the corner of a small rock, or a relaxing break deliciously alcoholic, we send the RR tracks a bit more aggressive in the hatch with the classy "Annoyed" or more electric and groovy "Black as Bastet. A monstrous feeling a little session of riffs that cascade down along the spine, a rhythm section that remains and a song that provides serious Rescue Rangers confirms without a shadow of a doubt all the good we could think of them after an EP too short. Along with combos such as hexagonal or Glowsun Loading Data, the group puts an end to the first part of his album, to better follow up behind with more ... that does not take long to come up with a "Spear" all guitars out. A rock song that screws into the head without effort, a compact and solid riffing, droning sound but rather quite well suited to the style of the group, we think QOTSA, little more personal touch. Broadening the spectrum of his music forward for a bit more psychedelic, Rescue Rangers split a "Scary Black Holes" (a must) and an "In cathedralica" calmer, where he takes time to build patiently hypnotic atmospheres if narcolepsy. A quick "King Cobra", a sort of smoky shamanic trip later and now the group reached the end of his musical journey with "The Scorpion Deathlock", already present Master of the middle fingers, rerecorded for the occasion and just as poisonous if not more. Pending a hexagonal distribution at the height of their talent, the Rangers greet you well below ... Read more on Last.fm.
