Black Boys On the Corner Lyrics

What you doin' man
I think I am goin' down the cornerOne of the black boys said
"I need none of your pity"
It's your mama that don't
Like you loose in the cityBut stick about, take note
Take a tip and take no back lip
Come on closer
Let me see you snap your fingertip'Cause standin' on the corner
Just might suit you or maybe baby
There's somethin' else you wanna do, yeahI like a rollin' dice, nice
I like a shootin' pool, hey, that's coolI'm a little black boy and I don't know my place
I'm a little black boy and I just threw my ace
I'm a little black boy, recognize the faceOne of the black boys said
"I'm givin' a warnin'
People been puttin' me down
I'm so tired, I'm yawnin'"A new suit, pretty boots to boot
I'm feelin' slick, yeah
I'm gonna go to town, look around

Pull a chick, yeahOf course standin' on the corner
Just might suit you or maybe baby
There's something else that you wanna do, yeahI like a playin' poker, joker
I like to back a race, aceI'm a little black boy and I don't know my proper place
I'm a little black boy, get my head in its space
I'm a little black boy, I just play my bassI'm a little black boy, [Incomprehensible]
I'm a little black boy, recognize the face
I'm a little black boy, I'll take on anybody, [Incomprehensible]

Thin Lizzy are an Irish hard rock band who formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1969. The band were led throughout their recording career by bassist, songwriter and singer Phil Lynott, and are best known for their songs Whiskey in the Jar, Jailbreak and The Boys Are Back in Town, all major international hits still played regularly on hard rock and classic rock radio stations. After Lynott died, various incarnations of the band have emerged over the years culminating in a more stable line-up based around guitarists Scott Gorham and John Sykes. Sykes left the band in June 2009.
