Black Dog Blues (Instrumental Version) Lyrics

Alright
I take yeah
Aha
I'll ever tell you what that black dog done to me
Well it stole my regular girlfriend
now he's after my use to be
Hey black dog, black doggie caused me the.
I said black dog, black doggie caused me the.
you know you make me have to leave my
my sweet old happy home
yeah
I'm living at the dog house
Oh black dog, black dog forever in my mind
oh if you only leave me see my baby one more time
so long black dog I'm quitting your heart love line
so long black dog I'm quitting your heart love line
'cause if.so blue please send her out of time
Oh black dog

you got me living in the dog house
you cause me the whip and more
you're a black dog yeah
I want my baby back black dog
me no black dog, me no black dog
I hit you, get out of my yard I hate you
get out of my yard black dog

While most bluesy hard rock acts of the '70s and '80s hailed from the United States (the south, to be exact), there were several exceptions to the rule, such as Canadian singer/guitarist Pat Travers. Born in Toronto on April 12, 1954, Travers first picked up the guitar just prior to entering his teens, after witnessing a local performance by the great Jimi Hendrix. It wasn't long before Travers was studying the other top rock guitarists of the day (Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, etc.), and paying his dues by playing in bar bands in the Quebec area.
