Black Equality Lyrics

How long will it take? Oh, for right
For your children to get justice? Oh, for right
Whats going to happen to this coming generation?
Whats gonna happen to this wicked nation?Step in, oh, for right, please step in
Show your power, oh, for right, show your power
How long shall we live under police brutality?
I think its time for black man to get equalityThe time is now, oh, for right, the time is now
Separate the wolves from the sheep
Save your children, oh, for right, save your children
Save them from the wicked while they sleepWe have suffered enough, oh, for right
But how long will it last, oh, for right
Politicians chew their cigars as they drive in their big cars
Show them power, oh, for right, show them powerThe time is now for right, the time is now
Separate the wolves from the sheep
Save your children, oh for right, save your children
Save them from the wicked while they sleepWe have suffered enough, oh, for right
But how long will it last? Oh, for right
Politicians chew their cigars as they drive in their big cars

If their wicked, oh, for right, smack them downShow them power, oh, for right, show them power

Max Romeo (born Maxwell Livingston Smith, 22 November 1947, St. D'Acre, St. Ann, Jamaica), is a reggae and roots reggae recording artist who has achieved chart success in his home country, and in the UK. The singer who put the rude in rude boy, Max Romeo was responsible for launching an entirely new sub-genre of reggae, whose overtly suggestive lyrics caused an outcry but took a massive hold of the music scene regardless.
