Black Leather and Glittering Steel Lyrics

We drank 'til the sunrise
Rode away singing Johnny's back again
Maybe I'm wrong
Maybe I've really just been away too longThere a few who remember
Fewer still who remember why
They ain't still ready to fight
But I've had the world at my feet
And I know it's rightI wanna crawl from the wreckage again
Feel the kiss of twisted metal
Like a drink running hot in my veins
I've got a score to settleBlack leather and glittering steel
They're calling me back
So I'm turning my head to the wheelBlack leather and glittering steel
I'm thirsty for more
So I'm sending my foot to the floorLook like nobody's buying
Looks to me you can't go home again
So I'm riding alone
Maybe the lights are on but nobody's homeSo long to my brothers

Later on once again you're left behind
Are you lashed to the mast
Or will you drown in the chair
Where I found you last ?I wanna feel the wind in my face
And the velvet and shimmering limousines
Like a kiss from the 'Queen Of The Damned'
Like the smell of gasolineBlack leather and glittering steel
They're calling me back
So I'm turning my head to the wheelBlack leather and glittering steel
I'm thirsty for more
So I'm sending my foot to the floorI wanna crawl from the wreckage again
Feel the kiss of twisted metal
Like a drink running hot in my veins
I've got a score to settleBlack leather and glittering steel
They're calling me back
So I'm turning my head to the wheelBlack leather and glittering steel
I'm thirsty for more
So I'm sending my foot to the floor

There are 3 bands named Riot. 1. Riot sprang from the basement of Mark Reale's home in Brooklyn, NY in the summer of 1976. In 1977 they had recorded and released their first album "Rock City" for New York's Firesign Records. Able to to obtain various licensing deals throughout the world, "Rock City" quickly found an audience. Capitol Records quickly signed Riot, who soon entered the studio to record their second album "Narita" which would be released in 1979. It was in 1981, however, that Riot released what is considered by most fans to be the band's most definitive album "Fire Down Under".
