Black Lung Lyrics

Sign a petition under working condition
Union is in bed with the call of Berettas
Carry our freedom lookin' for something
To give your family a better life for every single daySomethings keep me goin'
Well, I got no one to blame
Five o'clock is comin', do ya feel the same
When a lonely whistle calls out your nameWhat a man likes to see
When they come after mine
No prettiness for the mighty black lung
Reconfirm workers, reconfirm us
So take off the gloves and sock it to 'emSomethings keep me goin'
Well, I've got no one to blame
Five o'clock is comin,' do you feel the same
When a lonely whistle calls out your nameHey young believer, black lung fever
Transmit receiver, stand up to see her
I don't like it you either
Were all prejudice to the black lung fever, ohSomethings keep me goin'
Well, I've got no one to blame

Five o'clock is comin', do ya feel the same
When a lonely whistle calls out your name

Rancid is a punk rock band which formed in Berkeley, California, United States in 1991. The band consists of Tim "Lint" Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Lars Frederiksen (guitar), Matt Freeman (bass) and Brendan Stieneckert (drums). The band has released seven albums: "Rancid" (1993), "Let's Go" (1994), "...And Out Come the Wolves" (1995), "Life Won't Wait" (1998), "Rancid" (2000), "Indestructible" (2003) and "Let the Dominoes Fall" (2009). The band originally consisted of Armstrong, Freeman (both former members of Operation Ivy) and drummer Brett Reed, with Frederiksen joining in 1993. Reed left in 2006 and was replaced by Stieneckert.

To date, Rancid has released seven studio albums, one split album, one compilation, two extended plays, and a series of live online-only albums, and has been featured on a number of compilation albums. The band has independently sold over four million records worldwide,[4] making it one of the most successful independent punk groups of all time. The band rose to fame in 1994 with its second studio album, Let's Go, featuring the single "Salvation". In the following year, Rancid released its highly successful album ...And Out Come the Wolves, which produced its best-known songs "Roots Radicals", "Ruby Soho" and "Time Bomb", and was certified gold and platinum by the RIAA, selling over one million copies in the United States alone. Its next four albums, Life Won't Wait, Rancid, Indestructible and Let the Dominoes Fall, were also critically acclaimed, though not as successful as ...And Out Come the Wolves. Rancid is currently working on an eighth studio album, which is said to be recorded in September 2011, and expected to be released in 2012.
