Blindsided Lyrics

It seems like I found someone
Who was always on my side
I really thought that you'd be true
And so I let my guard down
And I slowly closed my eyes
Then you hit me from out of the blue
I must have been out of my mind
How could I have been so blind?
Oh, I was blindsided
I thought that you were A-OK
I was blindsided
I never should have looked away
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust
I thought I found somebody I could trust
I must have been out of my mind
How could I have been so blind?

Oh, I was blindsided
You acted like you really cared
I was blindsided
I thought we had a love we shared
A, B, C, X, X, Y, Z
You sure pulled an old double cross on me
How could I have been so blind?
I must have been out of my mind
[Instrumental Interlude]
Oh, I was blindsided
I dreamed you claimed a piece of my heart
I was blindsided
It must have been some other part
Lavender green, Lavender blue
I never should have taken my eyes off you
How could I have been so blind?
I must have been out of my mind
Well, I was blindsided
I heard you sayin' "I love you"
Blindsided
I never though you'd prove untrue
Well, now wrong is wrong and right is right
I must have been blinded by the candlelight
How could I have been so blind?
I must have been out of my mind
How could I have been so blind?
I must have been out of my mind.

We have had Ann Rabson since 1945 when she was born in New York. We have been blessed to have had Ann sing the Blues professionally since 1962 when Ann got her first guitar at the age of 17. During the 80's, Rabson as a part-time musician and full-time computer programmer, began to also study the piano. In '84 Ann and one of her guitar students, started a band called Saffire. 1989 Saffire signed on with Alligator Records as the first all acoustic band to sign with them. And to this date, she continues her solo act often singing/playing and recording with many other Blues and Folk artists.
