Blown Away Lyrics

(S. Weedman)It's raining again, here in my hotel
I guess I'm a little lonely and I don't feel very well
Maybe this time I'm really dying, now wouldn't that be swell
I deserve it for taking a good love, taking a good love and blowing it all to hellThere's another good love blown away again
Another sweet love just scattered with the wind
Another letter added to the letters that I will never send
I've blown away a good love once againThis was gonna be the big one, my precious saving grace
This was gonna be different, this time I'd play it straight
But like a fool, I played my same old hand and made my same mistakes
There I was taking a good love, taking a good love and turnin' into hateThere's another good love blown away again
Another sweet love just scattered with the wind
Another letter added to the letters that I will never send
I've blown away a good love once againThere's another good love blown away again
Another sweet love just scattered with the wind
Another letter added to the letters that I will never send
I've blown away a good love once again(c) 1980 Horse Hair Music/BMI.

Dr. Hook (& The Medicine Show) were formed in Union City, New Jersey, USA in 1968. The original lineup consisted of Ray Sawyer, Dennis Locorierre, Bill Francis, John David and George Cummings - although there were countless lineup changes over the years.

Two years after Sawyer left in 1983 the band split up. Since then Sawyer has begun touring as "Dr Hook featuring Ray Sawyer" and Locorierre has also promoted himself as "The voice of Dr Hook".

Trivia: In a live webcast performance from Atlanta Bon Jovi performed "Sylvia's Mother" by Dr Hook - declaring the song "One we should have written".
