Blue Monday (New Orleans Concert Version) Lyrics

Blue Monday, how I hate blue Monday
Got me workin' like a slave all day
Here comes Tuesday, oh hard Tuesday
I'm so tired, I've got no time to play
Here come Wednesday I'm beat to my side
My girl calls, I gotta tell her that I'm out
'Cause Thursday is a hard-workin' day and Friday I get my paySaturday morning, oh, Saturday morning
All my tired has gone away
Got my money and my honey
And I'm out on the scene to play
Sunday morning my head is bad
But it's worth it, all the times I had
But I've got to get my rest
'Cause Monday is a messSaturday morning, oh, Saturday morning
All my tired has gone away
Got my money and my honey
And I'm out on the scene to play
Sunday morning my head is bad

But it's worth it, all the times I had
But I've got to get my rest
'Cause Monday is a mess

Antoine Dominique "Fats" Domino (born February 26, 1928 in New Orleans, Louisiana), is a classic R&B and rock and roll singer, songwriter and pianist. He was the best-selling African-American singer of the 1950s and early 1960s whose congenial, non threatening personality allowed him to succeed despite a period of deep-seated racial segregation. Domino is also a pianist with an individualistic bluesy style showing stride and boogie-woogie influences.
