Box of Glory Lyrics

You hang your heart in the closet
You hide your faith in your wallet
When skies turn grey, say you knew it
Won't ask for much, afraid you lose it
Running around in circles Mister Blue without your heavenly Father
There is gonna be another day
The sun is coming up no matter what you say
Why don't you take a different point of view
There's a box of glory waiting here for me and you
There's a box of glory waiting here for me and you
I have no hope in my pocket
My dreams will ram like a rocket
I saw my life in the mirror
That road don't get any clearer

Was running around in circles Mister Blue without my heavenly Father
There is gonna be another day
The sun is coming up no matter what you say
If you take a different point of view
There's a box of glory waiting here for me and you
I need, you need, we need love
God wants to give us so much
I need, you need, we need love
God wants to give us so much
Running around in circles Mister Blue without my heavenly Father
How will I get, will I get it without the truth
Open up your mind
Open up your eyes
There is gonna be another day
The sun is coming up no matter what you say
Come on and take a different point of view
There's a box of glory waiting here for me and you x2
I need, you need, we need love
(There's a box of glory waiting here for me and you)
God wants to give us so much
(There's a box of glory waiting here for me and you)
There's a box of glory waiting here for me and you x2

The original members of First Call were Melodie (or Mel) Tunney, Marty McCall, and Bonnie Keen. In the 1970's, Marty was the front man for a band called Fireworks. Bonnie had been trained in musical theatre. They met as studio singers in Nashville. Their jobs individually were to sing backup for other singers and to record jingles for commercials. The three struck up a friendship, and also saw the benefit in marketing themselves as a ready-made trio for back-up vocals and other studio recordings.
