Breakfast for the Soul Lyrics

Once again the sun came up
Way hight over my bones
He got up late in the night
To remind me I was here
I was blinded by the light
But everything became real clearWhen the rain is pouring down
When the drops all feel like stones
Make sure you put up a fight
And you don't curl up in fear
Make sure that you do things right
And that you always persevereAnd I have my voice to clear the air
And I'll sing it again for those who care
If you love me the same when we get old
You're my breakfast for the soul
With a side of rock n' rollThings have always been this way
It don't matter who you are
If the sun refuses to shine
And your heart is broken like mine

You are stuck in all these lines
Where to look and what to find?
Who's gonna find the line, to get us out of here?

Ian grew up in Montreal in NDG, a neighborhood where French and English intertwine. He started his relationship with music on his brother’s drums in the family basement. That’s where it all began. Ian initially played drums but he quickly felt like learning other instruments, mainly the guitar, in order to develop his own musical universe. "When no money can be found to buy new records, you might as well make your own music. It’s like cooking, if you don’t like green peppers, don’t put any in what you’re making."
