Breath of Life Lyrics

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh (3x)
Woa....
I was looking for a breath of life
For a little touch of heavenly light
But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh oh
To get a dream of life again
A little vision of the sun at the end
But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh oh
But I would need one more touch
Another taste of heavenly rush
And I believe, I believe it so oh oh oh oh
And I would need one more touch
Another taste of divine rush
And I believe, I believe it so oh oh oh oh

Who's side am I on? Who's side am I?
Who's side am I on? Who's side am I?
And the fever begins to spread
From my heart down to my legs
But the room is so quiet, oh oh oh oh
And although I wasn't losing my mind
It was a call that was so sublime
But the room is too quiet, oh oh oh (believe it...)
I was looking for a breath of life
A little touch of heavenly light
But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh oh (believe it...)
To get a dream of life again
A little vision of the sun in the end
But all the choirs in my head saying, no oh oh oh
[Instrumental]
It's a long wait and it's come to claim her
And I always say, We should be together
I can see the look, it's the something in me
And if you were gone, I will not be long (Be long, be long, be long)
And I started to hear it again but this time it wasn't the end
And the room is so quiet, oh oh oh oh
And my heart is the heart of a life
For the devil to dance again
And the room is too quiet, oh oh oh oh
I was looking for the breath of a life
A little touch of a heavenly life
But all the choirs in my head saying no, oh oh

The World Saxophone Quartet is an avant-garde jazz group founded in 1977, implementing elements of free funk and African jazz into their musical routines. The original members were Julius Hemphill (alto and soprano saxophone, flute), Oliver Lake (alto and soprano saxophone), Hamiet Bluiett (baritone saxophone, alto clarinet), and David Murray (tenor saxophone, bass clarinet). The first three had worked together as members of the Black Artists' Group in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1989, Hemphill left the group due to illness, and several saxophonists have filled his chair in the years since.
