Broadside Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
Sometimes I feel like a dog,
got no place to run
I feel all alone,
my only friend is my gunSo I get up everyday,
and I stand up and I fight
they say I'm a crazy man,
I say I'm doin' alright, alrightDon't kick the dog he's man's best friend,
let 'em lie he'll be alright
its against the law since
I can't say when,

he'll be right there 'til the bitter endHit broadside,
sucker-punched again
Hit broadside,
sucker-punched my friend.You can't bullshit the boss,
he's a smart sonofabitch
it might be your loss,
might be too late to switch.Don't kick the dog he's man's best friend,
let 'em lie he'll be alright
its against the law since
I can't say when,
he'll be right there 'til the bitter end.C'mon, hit me baby broadside,
broadside
sucker-punched again.
Hit broadside,
sucker-punched again.
Hit broadside,
sucker-punched again.
I like it broadside.
Broadside,
sucker-punched again.
Broadside,
Broadside,
Broadside,
sucker-punched again,
Hit me baby broadside,
broadside, sucker-punched again,
Broadside.
Go ahead, hit me baby, hit me baby
Broadside!

Theodore Anthony "Ted" Nugent (born December 13, 1948) (aka "The Nuge", "Motor City Madman", "Uncle Ted" or just plain Ted) is a guitarist from Detroit, Michigan.

He originally gained fame as a guitarist for the The Amboy Dukes, a psychedelic rock band from the late 60's best known for their hit "Journey to the Center of Your Mind". In the 70's he went solo and had a string of hits including "Stranglehold", "Free For All", "Dog Eat Dog", "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang" and perhaps his best known song "Cat Scratch Fever".

In the 80's he even tried his hand at acting in a haunting episode of television's "Miami Vice". In 1989, he joined Tommy Shaw of Styx, Jack Blades of Night Ranger, and Michael Cartellone to form Damn Yankees, which produced 1990's chart toppers "Come Again" for Billboard's #1 and rock ballad "High Enough", backed by a string section in the studio and a popular video, reaching #3 on U.S. Hot 100, and #2 on AOR charts. More recently he has gained fame (and notoriety) for his support of hunting and his conservative political views. He is an important member of the NRA (National Rifle Association). He's written four books and released multiple studio albums.

Besides a regular reality type show on cable showcasing Ted's outdoorsman skills, his most recent foray in music was a reality television show SuperGroup that resulted in a band called Damnocracy. The band's other members were Sebastian Bach (formerly of Skid Row), Scott Ian (Anthrax) Jason Bonham ("Bonham", son of Zeppelin's John Bonham) and Evan Seinfeld (Biohazard).

Ted's latest album is titled Love Grenade and was released in 2008.
