Broken Dreams Lyrics

Have you ever had your dreams broken?
It really messes up your heart
You want to stop right there
And go right back to the startYou got to leave the town you're living in
Oh I'm leaving, I'm leaving on the next train, mm
My dreams have been broken
I don't think I'll ever be the sameIt's a bad, bad feeling when all the things
That you've worked for just don't seem to turn out right
Well this happened to me last night
I woke up this morning and said, "I must be going"You see my dreams have been broken
I don't think I have the strength to carry on
So I'll catch the next train
SouthboundI don't want no pity
Not from you or anyone
Oh, I don't want no pity
Not from you or anyoneIt's just my dreams
Been broken
And I got to tell someone

Before I go crazyI'll be leaving
I'll be leaving
On that next train going southbound
Yes, I'll be leaving on that next trainYou see my dreams been broken
And I just can't
Take the pain
I've got to move onMmm
Oh yeah
Yeah yeah
MmmYou see my dreams been broken
I ain't got no strength
To carry on, oh

Thin Lizzy are an Irish hard rock band who formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1969. The band were led throughout their recording career by bassist, songwriter and singer Phil Lynott, and are best known for their songs Whiskey in the Jar, Jailbreak and The Boys Are Back in Town, all major international hits still played regularly on hard rock and classic rock radio stations. After Lynott died, various incarnations of the band have emerged over the years culminating in a more stable line-up based around guitarists Scott Gorham and John Sykes. Sykes left the band in June 2009.
